A recent issue that has sparked debate is a statement by White House political adviser Karl Rove. Rove recently stated Obama is ‘articulate’ but lacking experience.
Two other public figures, Senator Joe Biden (D – Delaware) and President Bush have referred to Obama in a similar manner and have employed the word ‘articulate’.
Are these comments really racially charged and is this kind of political discourse going to hurt Obama as a result? Or, is too much fuss being made out of a simple ‘compliment’? After all, presidential candidates have to deal with the political jargon, don’t they?
