A person like Barack Obama does not come around every few years with a resolve for things to change or for the American people to take charge and do what is necessary to make this country the best it can be. He is a once in a lifetime figure who is in the mold of American leaders and idealists such as Lincoln and JFK. It is the enormous potential that he brings to the 2008 Presidential election that makes me believe that he is destined for greatness. Through his words and speeches, He inspires many young Americans such as myself to go out and be the change and make a difference. It is through this future generation’s resolve that will decide the fate of this election and others after 2008. Every effort must be made in order for Senator Obama to become elected so that these plans and hopes for the Iraq War to end and for Universal Healthcare to be available to every American and to improve our schools and lower college tuition can and should become a reality. Politicians of the past have given us the same rhetoric and promises but this is what makes Senator Obama stands out from the rest. His words are not fake and misleading but are from the words of a man who has been with people through their tough times and who knows that every American is entitled to the same opportunities and benefits that are necessary to improve the quality of life for all people of this great nation. His charisma is also something that no other candidate of this election can mimic or recreate. He is sincere with his words and he is honest and truthful with what he believes in and how he is confident with what he knows of which beliefs and goals are possible for this country that could change it for the better and that could be achieved through the rigorous effort and hard work of this generation which needs to embrace that things don’t always have to remain the same and that change is possible and must occur at times that are crucial to the legacy of a generation.
There is alarming problem we are encountering now, which must be treated urgently and decisively. As we all know, CNN do have a program called THE SITUATION ROOM which is broadcasted around 4pm-6pm and 7pm-8pm every weekdays. At each session of this program, they do have what it is called Political roundtable. It is moderated by the host of the program. On the Democratic side, they do have James Carville, Donna Brazille and Paul Begala. And on the Republican side, they do have J.C Watts, William Bennett and others.
According, each of these panelists are hired by CNN to defend their party on the program. You can bash other party, but not to bash other candidates of your own political party. In other words, you are the ambassador of your political party. It is a fair way to have a balanced view on what the two political parties.
But in the past couple of weeks, it seems James Carville is no longer doing just that-he is a strong supporter of Hillary Clinton and a great fundraiser for Hillary Clinton. Instead of bashing or defending all the Democratic candidates, he is using the forum to defend Hillary and bash other Democratic Presidential candidates-especially Senator Obama.
This is becoming dangerous trend for our party and other candidates, since he is a paid Democratic strategist, hired to represents the view of the party and not his candidate. He must choose either to be an ambassador of the party or continue to be representative of Hillary Clinton.
I am therefore calling on all of you to write CNN to end James Carville’s contract with them until the end of the presidential primaries. He can’t be bashing our candidates and other Democratic candidates and continue defending Hillary Clinton at the same time. There is a conflict of interest here and we must alert CNN about this now. Click this LINK to write CNN about this unfair treatment of Obama and other Democratic presidential candidates.
Below is a letter by James Carville soliciting funds from Hillary Clinton’s supporters. Read the letter and understand why he can’t be a fair representative of the Democrats now on this important political program. Please, write CNN now.
Dear Flip,
You want to know what we’re up against in this campaign? Here’s a direct quote:
“Those Swift Boat Veterans for Truth were the real heroes of the 2004 election. We at the StopHillaryPAC want to do the same thing to Hillary.”
You read that right. There are people who think the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth are heroes for what they did in 2004 — and now they have their sights set on Hillary.
This week, let’s show them what we’re made of. With a contribution of just $100, $50, or even $25, you can help make our “One Week, One Million” drive a success.

These “swift-boaters” know, like you and I do, that Hillary is the strongest candidate Democrats have. They know she’s a fighter who will stand up for what’s right, as she has done all her life.
And there’s nothing they fear more.
But we’re ready for everything they’ve got. Time and time again, Hillary has taken the worst attacks these people can cook up and come out a winner — because she isn’t afraid to fight.
She has the strength to respond because of the power of the people behind her. Let’s show these attack dogs what we’re made of. Our “One Week, One Million” campaign will send a clear message: Hillary won’t back down, and we’ve got her back.

Make no mistake about it. They want to defeat Hillary because they know what a powerful, forward-looking president she will be. They don’t want her — or you — to have the power to get America moving forward again. This isn’t about defending Hillary. It’s about protecting our ability to shape America’s future.
Let’s talk about how we’re going to make this week a success. President Clinton got us off to a great start yesterday, and we’re already a more than a quarter of the way to our goal after just one day.
This campaign is a symbol of the enormous grassroots support that stands behind Hillary. Your contribution of $100, $50, or even $25 will make the difference in our “One Week, One Million” campaign.
As President Clinton wrote yesterday, Hillary is as strong as they come. And with you standing behind her, there’s nothing she can’t do.

James Carville
